Shipping policy
Generally, our policy is to send out orders as quickly as possible. Exceptions are orders with the hold in storage option or when there are very hot or cold temperatures at your location. In such exceptional situations, we will coordinate timing with you. We currently ship to all continental US states except Mississippi and Utah. Ship-to states are subject to change as individual state regulations evolve.
Carrier
Unless otherwise requested, we will ship with FedEx or UPS at our discretion, or subject to certain state requirements imposed by our fulfillment shipper, We Ship Express. Deliveries to business addresses are Monday to Friday. Residential deliveries are every day for FedEx and Monday to Saturday for UPS.
Shipping Options
Standard options include ground or 2nd day to your address, ship to a hold site, or hold for later shipping. Other options such as overnight or priority overnight are possible with a phone call.
Please note: 2nd day express orders ship only Monday through Wednesday; next day can ship on Thursday as well.
State Specific Notes
Florida: ground shipments are normally delivered the next day after shipping; exceptions are the the Florida Keys, which are 2nd day. Although summer weather is not optimal, we ship Florida orders through the summer. It’s up to you to set alternative timing. Otherwise, shipments go out as soon as possible.
Alabama
All Alabama shipments must be sent to a state ABC store for pickup, where a nominal alcohol tax is collected at the time of pickup.
Texas
Texas ground shipments are freighted to Dallas by a temperature controlled carrier for hand off to UPS. Expect 10-20 days for delivery.
Rates
We have kept rates competitive. Costs have increased over time and rates may be updated in the future, subject to competitive limits. Current ground rates follow.
Florida:
Eastern/Central US
Western US: (AZ,CA,CO,ID,MT,ND,NM,NV,OR,SD,WA,WY)
Flat express rates are defined for each shipping destination and are less subsidized than ground.
Conditions
An adult over the age of 21 with a valid ID must be present to accept wine deliveries. Your tracking number will be sent to you by email upon shipment. We cannot control time-of-day for your delivery. If your order is returned due to unavailability for delivery, additional charges will apply for reship. Please consider shipping/redirecting to a FedEx Onsite or UPS Store when you are not able to receive your shipment at home. Deliveries to FedEx or UPS sites should specify the carrier name in the shipping address, so we choose the correct shipping carrier.
